Sedona Girls Weekend Itinerary: Cocktails, Food & Spa Bliss
Planning a girls weekend in Sedona? Here’s a perfect 3-day itinerary combining indulgent food, spa treatments, wine, and a touch of luxury shopping.
Day 1: Saturday – Arrival & Wine Tasting
Morning: Left Tucson and started the drive to Sedona. My friend flew in from the Bay Area and I picked her up at Phoenix Airport.
Afternoon: Arrived in Sedona and settled in at Hyatt Sedona Piñon Pointe. The rooms are spacious, modern, and offer stunning views of the red rocks. Perfect for unwinding after the drive and getting settled for the weekend.
Late Afternoon: Kicked off the weekend with a wine tasting at The Art of Wine, a charming, unpretentious spot with a wide selection of local and international wines. The staff was welcoming, making it easy to linger and savor each pour while catching up.
Dinner: Elote Café was our evening stop. Known for its vibrant Mexican-inspired dishes, we enjoyed a mix of traditional and inventive plates, including their signature elote. The lively atmosphere, bold flavors, and expertly crafted cocktails set the perfect tone for the weekend ahead.
Day 2: Sunday – Spa Day & Fine Dining
Morning to Lunch: Spent the morning at Amara Resort Spa, a serene oasis perched overlooking Oak Creek. We indulged in massages, mud wraps, and facials, each designed to deeply relax and rejuvenate. The mud wraps detoxed, the facials glowed, and the massages melted away all travel stress—the perfect way to recharge before a busy afternoon.
Lunch: Stopped at Vault Uptown, a modern, stylish eatery with fresh, flavorful dishes. The ambiance was bright and welcoming, making it the perfect midday pause to refuel between spa treatments and evening plans.
Evening: Dined at Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill, an elevated culinary experience with breathtaking views of the red rocks. The menu featured beautifully plated Latin-inspired dishes and expertly crafted cocktails. We lingered over every course, enjoying the sunset and the celebratory vibe of the weekend. TIP: Do not skip the Pulpo Parrilla, the best octupus I’ve had in my life and the Roasted Cauliflower with Olive Tapenade, Pine Nuts and House Romesco.
Day 3: Monday – Breakfast & Shopping Therapy
Morning: Breakfast at Pump House Station Urban Eatery, a cozy and energetic spot with hearty, satisfying plates. The farm-fresh ingredients and creative menu gave us the perfect start for our final day.
Late Morning to Afternoon: Left Sedona and headed to Scottsdale Fashion Square for some Louis Vuitton shopping therapy. The luxury stores and curated selections made for a decadent, relaxing way to wrap up the trip. Had lunch at the Marketplace Cafe at Nordstrom.
Afternoon: Dropped my friend off at Phoenix Airport and drove back to Tucson, full of memories, laughter, and a renewed sense of calm.
